WE ARE
Dr.
Sung J. Hong and his staff represent the core of the
California Dental Specialty Group. We invite

 PROSTHODONTIST:
Dr. Sung J. Hong is an American Board Certified
Prosthodontist, a Fellow of the International
Congress of Implantologists, and a Fellow of the
American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Hong
was graduated from the USC School of Dentistry
with a D.D.S. degree, and received the Outstanding
Achievement Award from USC and the O.K.U. Award
from the National Dental Honorary Society in 1981.
He completed his residency in prosthodontics at
the UCSF Graduate School of Dentistry and holds
an MA Degree in Educational Psychology. Dr. Hong
teaches prosthodontics at the UCSF School of Dentistry
as a course director and is a member of both the
American Dental Association and the California
Dental Association.
The California
Dental Specialty Group specializes
in the latest techniques for crowns, bridges,
implant-supported restorations, cosmetic procedures,
complete and partial dentures, complete mouth
reconstruction, orthodontia, oral surgery, and
periodontal treatment.

 PERIODONTIST:
Dr. Joe Provines Dr. Provines
has been practicing dentistry on the Peninsula for
over 25 years. He holds a D.M.D. degree from Washington
University in St. Louis, and served as a dentist
in the Navy during the Viet Nam War. He holds a
certificate in Periodontics from Boston University,
and has studied implantology under some of the best
practitioners and educators in the United States,
Germany, and Italy.
Dr.
Provines' philosophy is to ensure that his patients
have a positive dental experience. He is a fellow
of The American Academy of Periodontology and
the Academy of Osseointegration. He is also a
member of the American Dental Association, the
California Dental Association, the Mid-Peninsula
Dental Society, and the Santa Clara County Dental
Society. He is also on the advisory board of MedPlexus,
a medical software company in Santa Clara, CA.
Dr.
Provines' personal interests focus on his family.
For recreation, he enjoys fly-fishing, golf, and
skiing.

 ORTHODONTIST:
Dr. Thomas L.
Chou received his Doctor of Dental Medicine
degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine
in 1982, and received a Certificate of Advanced
Graduate Study in Orthodontics from Boston University
in 1988. He practiced both general dentistry and
orthodontics in Massachusetts for a number of years
before moving to Northern California and beginning
his private practice in Orthodontics in 1996. Dr.
Chou brings a wealth of experience in General Dentistry,
TMJ, and orthodontics to the California Dental Specialty
Group.

 PERIODONTIST:
Dr. Henry H. Chang completed his
postgraduate study in Periodontics at Columbia University
in the city of New York and received his certificate
and Master of Science degree in Periodontics in
1999. Prior to becoming a periodontist, he practiced
general dentistry for four years. Currently he is
a member of American Academy of Periodontology,
American Dental Association, and California Dental
Association. He is also a clinical instructor in
Periodontics at the University of the Pacific in
San Francisco. He speaks both English and Chinese. |
